Yosefa is a very stylish young
doe. She is long bodied with a nice topline and flat rump,
standing nice and wide on very nice feet and legs. She has a
sweet, tame, gentle disposition, just like her dam. Her
dam, Vassajara's Xochitl, is a very lovely first freshener who
milked 9.3 lbs with 4.5% butterfat on her first test. She has a
beautiful udder with wonderful fore attachment, nice and high on
the sides, high and wide in the rear. Xochitl's dam, Meadowsong
Ansel Nadia, a purebred doe from Jim Flak's Kansas herd was a
very lovely doe. Nadia was a heavy milk producer, with a deep
body, beautiful Oberhasli head and breed type. She also had that
wonderful Oberhasli sweetness about her that made her fun and
easy to deal with. Xochitl's sire is *B Vassajara's
Topper, who is sired by +*B White-Haven Precentor and out of
SGCH Vassajara's Lucita 2*M. Topper's twin sister, Vassajara's
Tovah, was Best-In-Show twice last show season and milked 11.1
lbs with 3.9% butterfat on her last test day. Her
sire, *B Vassajara's Xanadu, is a paternal 1/2 brother to her
dam, Xochitl. Xanadu's dam, Vassajara's Virginia 2*M, is sired
by "Thunderheart" Talisman and her dam is SGCH Redwood
Hills Finnegan Ginger 1*M who was a Top Ten Breed Leader in
2002. Yosefa has a
great pedigree. There is both milk and show behind every animal
in her pedigree. Given the way she is looking, she should easily
follow in their footsteps!
